All weather floor mats.
Just cleaned out the post muddy concert aftermath out of my car. All four mats were absolutely soiled. Thank you Volkswagen for including rubber floor mats, or else I’d be fucked.
I don’t think I’ll ever actually use the carpeted ones....

I never use carpet floor mats. I just don’t have the kind of lifestyle that keeps my feet on clean, paved surfaces everywhere I go. My floor mats need to be able to take some kind of abuse.
Several years ago, I picked up a set of deep (about 1/2") generic mats, which can collect quite a bit of dirt/snow/mud/etc. They’re fantastic.
I wanted to try out WeatherTech, but they don’t offer laser-measured products for cars as old as mine. I did try out their universal cut-to-fit mats, and they’re pretty good, but don’t hold as much as the old ones I had. But I really like the material WeatherTech uses. It’s softer than other mats, and conforms to different floor shapes really well.
